NAS Delivers on the 'Need for Higher Standards' |
| Detail |
The National Association of Shopfitters was once again back at Earls Court 2 from the 13th – 15th June 2006 supporting the InStore Show incorporating International Display Week. What better venue could there be than this for the NAS to launch the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 82 Shopfitting Management Standard?
Members of the “steering group”, trade press, members, clients and other supporters of this initiative gathered in the Victoria Room on the 14th June at 11:30 a.m. which had been kindly provided by the show’s organisers to hear the Director of the NAS give a presentation on the document and the significant benefits that would come for both clients and NAS members going forward.
It has been the avowed desire of the NAS and its membership to be able to sort the wheat from the chaff and for the first time clients and those who procure work from shopfitters will have, with the aid of PAS 82, the ability to compare ‘apples and oranges’ looking at shopfitters who provide this code against those who don’t.
Peter Rogerson - Deputy Chairman of CITB Construction Skills visited the NAS stand in the afternoon to demonstrate support for this excellent initiative.
