Headline	NAS Members take two Prestigious Awards at the 2007 Retail Interiors Awards
Detail	The 2007 “Shopfitting Excellence” Award sponsored by the National Association of Shopfitters went to Simpson (York) Ltd for Primark’s Flagship Store in Oxford Street, London. “Judging whether one store fit-out is better than another is always fraught with difficulty, for no better reason than that the bar has been raised almost every year since the first Retail Interiors Awards a decade ago.” That said, the standard of workmanship seen at Primark’s new flagship store in Oxford Street made NAS member Simpson a clear winner. “Wherever you look, the quality of finish is apparent” said the judges. There is also the matter that a few months after it opened, in spite of hordes of bargain-hungry shoppers scrambling over piles of merchandise, the store looks as good as the day it welcomed its first customer. A worthy winner from every perspective. Retail Interiors’ Store-fit Company of the Year went to Portsmouth based NAS Member A E Hadley Ltd. Hadley have specialised in top-end fit-outs for clients as various as John Lewis and Arsenal Football Club. They manufacture nearly everything they install and win unfailing praise from all the retailers that have dealings with them. The judges felt that Hadley deserved recognition for the highly professional way in which they deal with their business.
