NATIONAL SHOPFITTING AWARD FOR YOUNG APPRENTICE |

Sarah Courtney, an 18-year-old shopfitting apprentice from Northern Ireland received the NAS Apprentices Design Award for 2007 at the annual luncheon on the National Association of Shopfitters in London on 6th February. Sarah is employed by shopfitters Patton Fit-Out of Ballymena.
Sarah won the Award in competition with other second year apprentices across the country. She was required to design and manufacture a display and received high praise from the judges for the quality of the work and well thought-out design.
The National Award, which consists of a trophy, certificate and cash, was presented by the NAS President, Richard Easton, at the Association’s Annual Luncheon. The annual Award is presented to second year shopfitting apprentices showing the most originality and skill in the design and construction of the project. This year, the Award has again been supported by a contribution from ConstructionSkills and a tools voucher donated by John Boddy Timber Ltd.
