| Detail |
Billy Morgan from Hadley Shopfitters in Portsmouth and Jonathon Craig from Patton Fit-Out of Ballymena, received the NAS Apprentices Design Award for 2008 at the annual luncheon on the National Association of Shopfitters in London on 11th February.
Billy and Jonathon were joint winners of the Award in competition with other second year apprentices across the country. They were required to design and manufacture a cutlery storage canteen and received high praise from the judges for the quality of the work and well thought-out design.
The National Award, which consists of a trophy, certificate and cash, was presented by Sir Michael Latham, Chairman of ConstructionSkills and Brendan Turtle, NAS President, at the Association’s Annual Luncheon. The annual Award is presented to second year shopfitting apprentices showing the most originality and skill in the design and construction of the project. This year, the Award has again been supported by a contribution from ConstructionSkills and a tools voucher donated by John Boddy Timber Ltd.
