PRINCI, LONDON - OVERALL WINNER OF 2009 DESIGN PARTNERSHIP AWARD |

Princi, a new bakery and café bringing the essence of Milan to Central London has been awarded Overall Winner of the NAS Design Partnership Award for 2009. The judging panel chaired by Adam Brinkworth of Design Company Brinkworth unanimously awarded the accolade of this year’s Grand Prix winner.
The judging panel praised the project as a fine example of the interaction between the client, those who design and NAS members who realize the built environment.
Also winner in the Leisure Category, the materials and the design demanded incredible precision both in thought and execution making Princi a worthy winner.
Denton Corker Marshall was the Designer for the project, and the specialist fit-out was carried out by Goodman Hichens PLC.
Winner of the Non-Retail Category was Barclays, Piccadilly London. Architect Aukett Tytherleigh Interior Architects and Shopfitter ISG Cathedral Ltd have created the ultimate experience for Barclays’ customers in the high street banking environment.
Winner of the Retail Category was HMV Liverpool One, where the new store concept represents HMV’s blueprint for the future. Designed by Dalziel and Pow Design Consultants with the shopfitting carried out by Esprit UK Ltd.
Adam Brinkworth of Brinkworth, who chaired the Judging Panel, presented the Awards on 14th May at a gathering of over 120 designers, shopfitters and clients at Lancaster House, London SW1.
Judges for the Award were: Adam Brinkworth (Chairman) of Brinkworth, Kevin Brennan of Brinkworth, Brian Watson of Wills Watson + Associates, Gary Wilburn of HPW Partnership Ltd and Vaughan Chopping, Executive Council Member of the NAS.
