Headline Just Rewards for "Final Year Apprentices"
Detail The 2009 Autumn General Meeting of the National Association of Shopfitters (NAS) was held at the Holiday Inn Harrogate on the 14th October. Continuing from the inaugural year in 2008 when this valuable award was first made three more NAS Apprentices made it through the rigorous process to take Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

The Chairman of the Shopfitting Independent Training Forum, Richard Easton, said it gave him great personal delight to see Shopfitting Apprentices doing well and that these young people should be proud that out of 170 members they had shone through.

The Bronze Award went to David Lyons – Nason Foster Ltd
The Silver Award went to Joe Smith – A Edmonds & Co Ltd
The Gold Award went to Luke Ireson – Killby & Gayford Ltd

With the support of our major stakeholder, ConstructionSkills, each employer will receive a cash bursary to further their employee’s education in the direction they wish to follow. A certificate and very nice glass shield and a personal cheque were also presented.

Sir Michael Latham, Chairman of ConstructionSkills, said after the event that he was delighted that ConstructionSkills continued to support this event. Let’s hope these young men go on to even greater achievements in their shopfitting careers.
