Retail Trust, the only charity looking after all people in retail, has been awarded £30,000 by the George Spencer Trust to help 40 first time managers in small/medium sized retailers to develop their skills through a brand new Master Class Programme commencing in February 2012 with top retail CEOs.

NAS partner with Santia to develop the PAS 82 Shopfitter Management Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

Two top apprentices from the world of shopfitting and interior contracting have been honoured at the Autumn General Meeting of the National Association of Shopfitters (NAS), held in London last month.

Micheal Liken from Patton Group and Ben Freeman from Tekne Shopfitting Ltd took away the gold and silver prizes respectively in the NAS Final Year Apprenticeship Award. The prizes are given to the apprentices who have shown the most development over the duration of their apprenticeships.

The winners received a trophy, CITB-ConstructionSkills embossed certificate and personal cheque for their efforts. In addition, the victors employers received a significant bursary toward their respective employees further education, donated by CITB-ConstructionSkills.
