NAS goes virtually card less


The National Association of Shopfitters & Interior Contractors (NAS) is delighted to announce the launch of its new ‘virtual only’ Smartcard. The first organisation to offer its members a virtual only Smartcard, launching in October, the new virtual SICCS card, developed by Reference Point for the CSCS Go Smart platform, will provide NAS members with a digital smartcard that is quick and easy to download, stored on their smartphone and ready to use on site immediately.

The NAS has also extended the SICCS scheme to ensure that those with the now withdrawn CSCS CRO card, who have a supply chain relationship with shop fitting and interior contracting, can join the NAS and qualify to be a full or associate NAS member.


“We are really pleased to be the first scheme to issue the virtual only SICCS smartcards to our members,” said Robert Hudson, NAS Director. “There has never been a better time for our members to continue their accredited training and for that to be recognised on site as the virtual SICCS cards provide instant access to updated records and qualifications, are quicker and easier to check and reduce the possibility of fraud.” continued Robert.

Probably best known in construction for the development of the technology behind the CSCS Smartcard and Go Smart card reader apps, Reference Point has now extended the platform to include Virtual Smartcards – a digital card that is stored in an app called Vircarda on Smartphones, removing the need to carry physical cards.
