There is generally a shortage of skilled
labour, and shopfitting comprises such a broad width of skills
from bench joinery, wood machining, polishing and finishing,
metal fabrication, setting out preparation of working
drawings, site fixing, and an understanding of many other
building trades, that you should never be without work with
a shopfitting qualification.

This has applied over the years, even during the worst periods
of recession. There is a good career path for all those
who want to progress and a ready demand for these skills.
