New SICCS Trainee Card – Available Now
The team here at the NAS has developed an all new SICCS Trainee Card. The card has two versions to suit your employee or new entrants’ needs, each with different eligibility criteria.
The SICCS team at NAS Skills is always on hand to guide you, but here’s a simple breakdown.
Two Year Shopfitting Trainee Card (Renewable)
- For individuals who have attained a recent non-occupational competence qualification, for example, a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in the last 5 years.
- Valid for 2 years only.
- To renew for a further 3 years, you must be registered to undertake a Level 2 minimum S/NVQ and provide evidence of this.
- £30 plus VAT.
- CITB Health, Safety and Environment test is required at Operative level (valid within three years of application.
Five Year Shopfitting Trainee Card (Non-Renewable)
- A five-year SICCS Trainee card is for those registered for and working towards a competence-assessed qualification such as an NVQ/SVQ or an academic qualification such as a HNC, HND, or Degree.
- The qualification may be vocational or academic, but it must be acceptable for a skilled SICCS card. Holders of the five-year card are expected to complete their qualification by the time the card expires.
- Valid 5 years maximum.
- £30 plus VAT.
- Registration evidence will be required.
- CITB Health, Safety and Environment test is required at Operative level (valid within three years of application.
