The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has launched a new online customer portal, marking the first phase of a modernised digital system designed to make it easier for employers to access funding, manage grants, and engage with CITB services.
The new portal went live on 24 September 2025 and represents an important step in CITB’s ongoing efforts to simplify the way employers apply for and manage grants under the CITB Grant Scheme.
A Simpler, Smarter System for Employers
The new online platform has been built to give employers greater control and visibility over their accounts, while significantly improving the application process for funding and grants. Key features include:

Online applications – Employers can now apply for Apprenticeship and Qualification Grants directly through the new system.

Application tracking – Users can check the real-time status of their applications, reducing the need for email or phone updates.

User management tools – Employers can easily add or remove users and manage permissions, ensuring the right people have access.

Save and resume functionality – Applications can be saved mid-process and returned to later, making it easier to complete them at your own pace.

Automatic access for Grant Online users – Existing users of CITB’s previous system will be automatically migrated to the new platform, ensuring a seamless transition.
What This Means for NAS Members
For NAS members, this is a positive development that should make claiming grant funding and managing apprenticeships more efficient and transparent. The new system is part of CITB’s wider digital transformation plan, which aims to reduce administrative barriers and ensure funding reaches employers faster.
The NAS continues to work closely with CITB to support members in accessing grants, training funds, and other opportunities to upskill their workforce. Members who are already registered with CITB’s Grant Online will be able to access the new system immediately using their existing credentials.
