Are You a Skills Champion? The NAS Needs You!

In March 2022, we will be launching the NAS Skills Digital Training Needs Analysis (TNA). The output data will provide sector wide collateral evidence as to the current state of play and create a real skills demand forecast of members needs from a trade, technical and professional training basis.

Once compiled it will indicate where and how to focus NAS skills development and requirements while addressing sector entry barriers and ensure attention is focused beyond mandatory training to specific sector training and qualification development.

As we identify the skills and training gaps, together we can be a vehicle for change in adopting a collaborative ONE SECTOR – ONE VOICE approach, driving change to create new training and qualifications that are presently lacking. The importance of your input will be hugely significant. I will reach out to you directly soon upon its launch.

The training needs analysis evidence will shape a new NAS Skills Strategy and by operating as one sector one voice we can drive much needed change through collaboration and attack the not new but now vast gap.

Further to the TNA I will be developing a NAS Skills Board, and am seeking individuals from within the membership, those natural skills champions who are enthusiastic about the new generation or those who have the technical ability to steer and guide new qualifications.

You are not alone in those pain points regarding skills and training, together we can be effective, influence and future proof our sector, so I welcome those champions to be part of the NAS attack on the skills gap.
